If you've seen me or my co-workers out in public you've probably seen our Fox Toledo logo jackets.

Well, that jacket got me kicked out of a Portage Township Wal-Mart yesterday.  

I was covering a story about a suspect Ottawa County Sheriff's have been looking for. Deputies say he allegedly stole computer equipment from at least 3 Wal-Mart stores. Wal-Mart got a description of the guy on video. 

I filmed my story outside of the Wal-Mart and then walked into the store with the Ottawa County Sheriff. Before I could make it through the second set of doors, the greeter noticed my jacket and asked me to stay out. I didn't even have a microphone or camera with me.

The greeter went and got a store manager. The manager came up to us and said I need to leave. I asked why and he replied because you are the media. I said I don't even have a camera with me. He didn't care and again asked me to leave. I did.

My concern here is how protective Wal-Mart became over a media logo. Do they have issues with all media?

I was just doing my job and all we were doing was trying to help Wal-Mart catch their crook.
